What a Transformation! Raven Symone.

I have posted before about how much I like Raven Symone. She is so multi-talented with acting, singing, entrepreneurship, etc. She also gives back to young girls along the way.

Over the years her weight has fluctuated, not unlike mine or many other women's, but she is always beautiful and carried her weight well. But I have to say I was stunned when I saw these recent shots of her at The First Annual Diamond Awards. Wow Raven! Whatever she is doing (hopefully in a healthy way), her figure looks amazing and I hope she feels that way too.

Look at her now. What a transformation!

Happy Thanksgiving to All!

Image from Essence.com

I hope each and every one of you has a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday! Please be safe and enjoy yourself on this day. If you have a big meal in the works, enjoy!

So what are you thankful for? I am thankful for my family and friends, my health, my job, and of course to all of you who continue to read and support. I am at a crossroads with the blog and not sure where I want to take it from here---hence the slow posting, lol! But, no matter what I am very grateful for all the love and community that I feel as a result of your readership! There are so many great hair blogs out there now, I am feeling a need to shift focus in some way. Hopefully I will figure that out soon and get back in the game full speed! Until then, thanks for staying around and sharing your journeys with me.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYBODY!!!!!

Natural in the News

I just saw this video over at BGLH and wanted to repost it here in case you missed it. I think aside from the media and all that, the biggest influence over our children's self esteem and self-perception comes from the people closest to them. That goes for weight, skin color, and hair. Take a look and share your thoughts.

Is FEAR getting in your way?

What was your biggest fear about going natural? Was it realized once you finally chopped or completed your transition? What would you have told yourself one, three, six months ago that you know now? Finally, what words of wisdom do you have for others who are afraid to take that step to natural?
