Packaging and Scent: I love the "lightness" of this product's look. It says "fresh" and "modern" without looking overly floral or hokey. I like the white and green bottle and the digitized image of the leaves. I dunno, just looks pretty. The scent is a typical pantene-ish smell. It is fresh and bright, not at all heavy or stinky in any way. I like it. After using it, it lingered on my hair for a day or two and every time I turned my head I got a whiff...but in a good way. My boyfriend even commented on how much he liked the way my hair smelled.
I will start by saying have always loved Pantene. It as one of the first products I discovered when I went natural 10 years ago. The conditioners have always provided me with enough slip to detangle my kinks and coils. And you know how important that is, especially to a new natural who is learning how to work with her texture. I used to use the Sleek and Smooth line in the white and dark green bottle and I loved it too.
The last time I used this product was after the disaster that was Dr. Miracle's. My hair was impossible to get through and I knew I needed something with slip. I used at least 2 large handfuls of the Pantene and smooshed it through my hair. I worked it in with my hands and then proceeded to detangle in sections. It literally took me about 10 minutes (not bad!) and I was ready to proceed to the next step in my styling process.
Overall, I really like this product and will probably use it again. It can stay in the rotation along with my Herbal Essences and Aussie 3 min Miracle. They all do about the same thing for my hair so whichever is on sale at the time is what I'll go with. Hope this helps!
Great review! Next time I catch it on sale I will pick some up and give it a try. :O)
ReplyDeleteYou know, I was just telling myself that I really wanna go back to my Pantene products. I love Pantene too. Before I went natural, Pantene products brought my hair back to life, and I loved the moisture that my curls had. When I went natural I thought that I "had" to go with all natural products. Thanks for the review. It took away my guilt =)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review. I've been considering trying this conditioner. I usually use Herbal Essence Hello Hydration, but I need a change.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review!
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing your review. i was just looking for info on this line so it's great to read.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever used a Pantene product. Since you have this listed as good as Herbal Essence, I will try this product.
ReplyDeleteI like the fact you mentioned it gives good slip.
it's incredulous that Pantene are still using Palm Oil in their hair products, when it is widely known that Orangutans will most likely be extinct by 2025 because of palm oil usage by large corporations. I, myself, will not be encouraging extinction of another species for my hair to smell and feel good. I hope you all start thinking a little bit more about this and research your products a little better. there's good hair products out there with a social conscience that do not use palm oil - and I promise you, your hair will feel and smell just as good. Happy and educated shopping, folks!
ReplyDeleteI dont like orangutans... one bit me once. I do however like soft shiny hair ;)
