Oprah a kinky curly fro'ed-out gal??? Woah! Cool. I bet she has a lot of heat damage though with all that daily straightening. And even though we are so used to seeing her with her makeup, this picture looks fine to me considering she's in her fifties! It looks like she just washed her face in the morning and is waiting to get her hair done at the kitchen stove! I wonder what her audience was thinking when they saw this?

ReplyDeleteI just heard something yesterday about Oprah saying that she doesnt wear a weave and its all her hair. And i love this photo, I am a big oprah fan, she can be bald and I would still love her.
ReplyDeletenever would have guessed that she's natural. you know who else shocked as being a natural gyal, new york from flavor of love, remember her with all those weaves lolz, but yes she is a natural and her hair is beautiful i just wish her attitude wasn't so stank

ReplyDeleteI love Oprah. I wish just ONE day she would rock a fabulous twist out. It would look soooooo good on her!
I think it's important to understand that although Oprah is natural, she sometimes chooses to wear weaves and lacefronts, which is her prerogative. She does it to change up her look, and to avoid putting stress on her natural hair everyday.
ReplyDeleteAs far as heat damage, I think this picture proves that Ms. O is doing just fine, heat or no heat. :)
While I agree that her blow out looks good there is really no telling what her curl pattern will do once wet. If she constantly presses it out, I would almost put money on it that it does not curl up.
ReplyDeleteI haven't watched Oprah in a while but she definitely USED TO wear weaves. I guess all that time she was wearing them she was taking good care of her real hair. Cuz it definitely doesn't look like a weave anymore. I have to say I'm surprised she has all that hair. It's fabulous.

She looks amazing. I wish she'd wear it like this on the show. Or does she? I've not watched her in a few years. And I think she looks great without the fifteen layers of makeup Reggie Wells puts on her. Less would definitely be more.
